High School Nr 14 in Wroclaw
Since already five years we have had an exchange program with High School Nr 14 in Wroclaw. This school is famous in Poland for the top achievements of its students in various types of competitions in the fields of Science and Humanities both at home and abroad. According to prestigious rankings, made by two nationwide recognized high-quality newspapers 'Rzeczpospolita' and 'Perspektywy', the school is presently the second best High School in Poland. It is divided into two parts: Junior High School (Gimnazjum) and Senior High School (Liceum). The students of both schools have a bilingual department (with English as the second language).
There are 283 juniors and 560 seniors in High School Nr 14 in Wroclaw. 200 of them live in the school dorm because they come from all over the country in order to study at High School 14.
A visit to the "Schoter Scholengemeenschap Haarlem" is a part of the curriculum the Polish Junior High School students can sign up for. They have to do an assesment before they can participate in this popular exchange.

Sinds vijf jaar vindt er een uitwisseling plaats tussen de Schoter Scholengemeenschap en "High School Nr 14" uit Wroclaw. Eén week in het jaar komen de Poolse leerlingen naar Haarlem en één week gaan onze derde klassers van het TVWO naar Polen. "High School Nr. 14" is beroemd in Polen vanwege de uitmuntende resultaten die haar leerlingen behalen in wetenschappelijke competities in binnen en buitenland. Hierin wordt gestreden op het gebied van exacte en sociale wetenschappen.
De school is volgens de meting van twee verschillende nationale dagbladen de huidige nummer 2 van Polen!
"High School Nr. 14" bestaat uit twee delen; de Junior (Gymnazjum) en de Senior (Liceum) Highschool. Bij beiden is ook een tweetalige afdeling met Engels als tweede taal.
Op de Junior Higschool zitten 283 leerlingen, op de Senior Higschool zitten 560 studenten. 200 studenten verblijven in de campus van de school. Zij wonen te ver weg om iedere dag heen en weer te reizen.
De uitwisseling met Haarlem is erg gewild bij de studenten van de Junior Highschool. Zij moeten een toelatingstest doen voordat ze hieraan deel mogen nemen en ze zijn goed gemotiveerd.
